Quick and Easy Start-up with high Profit Potential for Salon Owners
The profit potential for adding body wraps and spa services
is significant for any salon or spa owner. The price a customer
pays for a body wrap varies greatly from market to market
in different parts of the country. On average, a single session
will range from $75 to $300 for a full body wrap treatment. A small to medium
salon can easily average 15 wraps per week. Using a price of $80 per wrap, a
salon owner could expect to generate over $54,000 annually.
Salons that market body wraps heavily and diversify to offer
other spa treatments can easily double their earnings.
The costs
to provide wraps are minimal for the products themselves.
The average cost for a full body wrap treatment is typically under $10. Labor will be the largest cost to the salon
owner, as the process requires a professional, mature technician
who will work intimately with a client for one to two hours.
Check with your local state board on the certification
requirements for a body wrap technician in your state. Many states
require an aethesician or massage therapy license to perform body
wraps. If you have trained and licensed technicians performing
other procedures in your salon, adding body wraps is very easy.
The training is quick and the cost of product is low. Body wraps
and spa body treatments in most salons carry a premium price for
premium service and results.
Body Wrap services are so easy to add to any existing salon! Very little space is required!
A plug for the warming unit, a sink, and a chair or table is all that is needed.
Most professionals will measure and wrap their clients while they are standing. A table is recommended for dry skin brushing and applying the slenderizing anti-cellulite gel. Once your client is wrapped, you will need a place for them to sit to stay warm in the wraps for 1 hour. You may want to have them sit in a sauna or a sauna suit, walk on a treadmill, stand on a vibration machine, or relax with a magazine and a cup of warm herbal tea.
When client is unwrapped, simply wipe off the excess residue from the wrap and apply the gel. No shower is required! In fact, it is best for the client Not to shower for at least 6 hours after the wrap.
Clients can also be overlapped for best use of your time! While the 1st client is in their wrap for 1 hour, you can be wrapping another client.
Increase your profits in the off season by adding Body wrap services!
When tanning clients start to diminish after tanning season, body wrap services keep clients coming back all year long. Clients want to lose inches and look great for special events and occasions, vacations, and to help them stay motivated on their weight loss routines. Promoting the inch loss, toning and detoxification benefits of body wrapping to your clients will build repeat clients who purchase a series of wraps.
Getting
started
The initial investment to get started in the body wrap and
spa services can range from $1000 to over $10,000, depending
on the business owner's objectives, space, equipment, supplies,
and proper hands-on education and training. If the salon owner already has the
space for other procedures, adding body wraps is relatively
inexpensive. Depending on the type of body wrap and the procedures
you use, body wraps will require very little space, very little
overhead, and will add a premium service to your salon to pamper
your clients and make them feel great when their treatment is
complete.
